test day 5 major religions

Today we took the test on the 5 major religions we went over in class starting Wednesday. Those religions were Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Judaism. I felt pretty good for the most part, but there was probably like 4 or 5 that I got wrong and I am very mad because I KNEW the answer and I just didn't think about it till after and it was a dumb mistake. Plus there was two or three that I studied and I remember studying them, but I just blanked out when I saw them and I probably got them wrong. So this isn't going to be nearly as good of a grade as I was hoping.

More studying religions

Today in class we went over the second part of the 5 major religions for the test that we are taking tomorrow. I don't feel comfortable at all for this test at the moment so I will need to study a lot tonight for the test.https://quizlet.com/457267094/5-major-religions-flash-cards/ So I actually made a quizlet for the test with flashcards that I think are helpful. But I don't know if its good or not because I've never made a quizlet before besides for health and it wasn't that good. Here is the link for the quizlet: https://quizlet.com/457267094/5-major-religions-flash-cards/ so you can go to it and look at it if you want, but you obviously don't have to. I am going to study very hard for it.

Notes on first day of religions

Today in class we started taking notes on our next mini lesson as we took our test for the last unit, last class. Our new unit is the 5 major religions. In class we spent a whole lot of time talking about Christianity which was one of the 5 major religions. Some of the notes that I took were: -There is around 2.2 billion Christians in the world -It is the largest Religion in the world in population -Obviously they are called Christians -Some areas with mostly Christians are Europe, The Americas, and South Africa -Their founder is Jesus Christ -The holy book of Christianity is the Bible and especially the gospels in the new testament of the bible -Clergy: The pope is the head of a catholic church, priests are local authorities -And Christians descended from Abraham The only other religion that we actually got to in class was Islam Some notes that I got about Islam includes: -Around 1.5 billion Muslims and that is second in the world in population -They are called Muslims -

Test day on population and settlement

Today we took the test on population and settlement. This test in my opinion was a little more challenging for me but its still not the toughest thing obviously. There was one question where I didn't know if the answer was crude birth rate, or rate of natural increase. I think that I second guessed myself so many times, that I probably got it wrong. I'm pretty sure my answer was RNI or rate of natural increase. Also another question that I second guessed was if chad was the lowest life expectancy which is the answer that I chose. That question is another question that I probably got wrong because I didn't feel the most comfortable on it and I just sat there after answering all the other questions and just stared at it. Trying to decided if I should chose it or not. But overall I think I did pretty well on the test today as I felt comfortable on most of the test besides a couple of questions I think that I got an 85 or higher. I studied the last three nights for about 30

Studying for the population pyramid portion of the test on monday

Today in class we went over the population pyramids, by watching that video that we all watched individually a couple of weeks ago. I still don't feel the most comfortable on the population pyramid as I do in the other portion of it. I don't feel completely lost but I don't feel that comfortable so I am going to have to study for that. So tonight and over the weekend I am going to go over the population pyramids, and how to know if they rise or not, or if they are going to decrease or not. And all the other questions to go with it.

Studying for population information test on monday

Today in class we were going over most of the information like: -Life Expectancy                       -Push Forces -Total Fertility Rate                   -Pull Forces -Net Migration Rate                  -Immigration -Crude Birth Rate                      -Emigration -Crude Death Rate                     -The Table Of Populations Over The Years Life expectancy is the average number of years a group of people are expected to live who were born in the same year. Monaco has the highest life expectancy out of any country, and Chad has the lowest life expectancy. When it comes to life expectancy, women tend to have a higher expectancy than men do in pretty much every country. Total Fertility rate is the average number of children born per women. The TFR must be 2.1 in a population in order for their population to be rising. So if the number is 2.1, then it is rising, but if the number is 2.09, then their countries population is decreasing. The Net Migration rate is the differen

My review on the presentation

Yesterday we did the presentation on our given countries. My group which consisted of Chris, Hannah, Banks, Tom, and myself; we had the Country Kenya. Kenya as I said and as Hannah said, they are a developing African-American nation with a very high unemployment rate of 40 percent. I did the slide on energy and electricity access which was one of the factors of Kenya issues and problems. They had no one working in their factories and that was why they weren't producing any crude oil, and that was part of the reason of why their unemployment rate was very high. Over 13 million people within the population didn't have access to electricity. I think that I personally did a good job on the presentation, I gave a lot of information on my topic, and I clearly stated the energy problem which was the main part of the rubric So I would give myself a 97-100 because I did everything like giving information and stating the problem right, but I had to look at my note card a couple times

Presentations on Kenya in class

Today during class, our group presented our PowerPoint on the country of Kenya. In my group was: Hannah, Chris, Banks, Tom, and Myself. I think that everyone in our group did a fantastic job and we all did well contributing to the presentation. We brought up many problems in Kenya such as High Unemployment rate, HIV Aids issues, no energy access, and Infant mortality rate. On my slide I was talking about how in Kenya, almost half of their population as of 2017 didn't have access to electricity. Which was around 13 million people. This didn't really surprise me because on my slide I also said, that Kenya is a developing African-American nation with many economic and political issues. So it didn't surprise me that the unemployment rate was rather high leading to not as many people working in factories to produce the crude oil. For about 15 minutes on Friday night, Saturday night, and on Sunday night, I practiced my slide making sure that I had most of the information memor

Group presentation Notes

What is one main issue with energy in Kenya? In Kenya they have a huge number of people who don’t have access to electricity. That number is over 13 million people out of their population. Thats around 44 percent of their people. How does this affect the country?                           This affects the country because that means that over 13 million people don’t have access to cell phones, toilets, computers, or even cars. These are all objects that in many countries almost everyone has, and we take for granted. These are two of the paragraphs that will be on my slide about energy and electricity. My group is doing the country Kenya, which is an African-American country who is developing and struggling with their economy. I am writing about what some of the issues are and how they can be resolved

Going over exam from years ago

Today in class we went over some questions that were on the semester exam from a couple years ago. If this was our exam, I think that I would do pretty well based on how class went. I got called on around 4 or 5 times and I got all of them right except for one because I heard the question wrong. Then once Mr. Schick read the question again I knew the answer right away. Most of the questions were on 4 given countries and you had to chose which country had the highest total fertility rate, or highest life expectancy and stuff like that. Those are very easy in my opinion but they will probably get harder for the exam so I have to study for that. The other questions that we did, were Mr. Schick was giving us definitions of certain terms, like the number of births per women and that answer would be total fertility rate.

Going over Mr.Schicks absent day assignment

Yesterday Mr. Schick was absent. So he gave us work via email for us to get done in class and if not, to finish it at home. I think this work was able to be done within the class period as I did finish it with 10 minutes to spare. If you didn't finish it, that probably meant that you were off topic for a while or at least a little bit. But one of the patterns that I noticed with the data, is that in most of the population pyramids a lot of them were going to have their population increasing over the upcoming years. Then some of them were going to keep increasing, while some were going to decrease after like 20 years or so. So that means that the world population must have mostly people at a very young age, more populated than people of the older ages. Most of the pyramids were very scattered and had many different numbers between all the different ages. But then for my fourth pyramid I chose the United States of America. The Pyramid for the U.S. was very consistent and not scatte

CIA Government interesting fact paragraphs

1)ten most densely populated countries (population per sq km): Macau 21,346; Monaco 15,322; Singapore 8,572; Hong Kong 6,702; Gaza Strip 4,987; Gibraltar 4,523; Bahrain 1,857; Maldives 1,318; Malta 1,317; Bermuda 1,312; top ten most populous countries (in millions): China 1379.3; India 1281.93; United States 326.63; Indonesia 260.58; Brazil 207.35; Pakistan 204.92; Nigeria 190.63; Bangladesh 157.83; Russia 142.26; Japan 126.45;  These two statistics are showing the most populated countries, vs the most densely populated countries. I think it is crazy how all of the most populated countries aren't on the most densely populated list. Yeah usually when you are more populated that means your probably a bigger country, but still there isn't a single one on the list that is in both. Also it is cool that Macau is number 1 in most densely populated, because I haven't ever heard of that place since they are small; but they are still leading the boards in population. This relates
